Things worth knowing before you enrol.
Do I need to be a qualified nail technician?+
Yes. SLX Masterclass is designed for nail technicians who are already qualified through ABT, VTCT, or equivalent and can execute a full set confidently. If you're not yet qualified, start with SLX Combined instead. Combined includes ABT accreditation and covers the technique foundations Method assumes you already have.
Is SLX Masterclass ABT accredited?+
No. Method is an artistic development programme, not a technique qualification, so ABT accreditation doesn't apply. Your existing qualifications are what let you practise professionally. Method is what helps your practice become recognisable. If you want ABT accreditation, look at SLX Combined, SLX Gel Builder, or SLX Acrylic instead.
What's the difference between SLX Masterclass and SLX Combined?+
Combined teaches you how to do nails. Method teaches you how to develop the artistic style that makes your work distinctive. Different problems, different products. Combined is for people qualifying or filling gaps in their technique foundation. Method is for people who are already qualified and want to build a signature style.
How long does the course take?+
Most of our courses can be completed in a couple of days but you can go at whatever pace you are comfortable.
What equipment do I need?+
Whatever you already use for your qualified work. Method is about applying your existing setup with more intent, not about new products or tools. You'll also want a camera or phone capable of shooting your work for portfolio development in module 3.
Can I pay in instalments?+
Yes. Split into three payments of £399 with Klarna at checkout. Access to the course begins with the first payment.
What if I decide the course isn't for me?+
We offer a 14-day refund on unopened courses. If you haven't accessed the course content yet, contact us for a full refund. Once you've started the modules, we don't offer refunds because the content is delivered in full at enrolment.
Do I get a certificate?+
Yes. An SLX-issued certificate of completion, digital by default and physical on request at no cost. This is a mark of completion, not a professional accreditation. Your ABT qualification (or equivalent) is what qualifies you to practise. Method builds on top of that.
How does the SLX Collective free trial work?+
Enrolling in Method includes three months inside SLX Collective, our community for nail artists. You'll get peer feedback on your work, ongoing conversations, and Sarah's monthly masterclasses. After three months, membership continues at £17 per month if you want to stay (locked at that rate for founding members).
What if I'm outside the UK?+
Method is delivered online and works globally. Content is in English. Payment is in GBP and processed via Stripe, which handles currency conversion at checkout. You'll see your local currency equivalent before you pay.
